One pair of Rose-Gold Butterfly Earring Backs (5mm)

Sometimes we lose our earring backs and need to replace them.  Frenelle sells a range of earring backs which you can use as a replacement.

The photos show the size of this earring back against a ruler to show exact size and on my hand so you get a sense of the proportion.  It is also photographed on a 6mm crystal stud - again so you can see the size in propotion to an earring.

The last photograph shows the earring back with a meat skewer.  When you buy earrings, the back will already be in place on the post.  However, when you buy earring backs separately, the hole may need adjusting to get a good fit for your earring post.  I use a meat skewer to do this. 

Hold the earring back firmly and push the point of the skewer into the hole (ONLY a FRACTION of a millimetre at a time).  Try putting the back on the earring post and repeat until you get a nice snug fit. 

It should not be too loose that it may fall off, nor so tight that you are liable to bend the earring post if you force it on.

Remember also, that earring posts come in different thicknesses, so if you adjust your earring back to fit one pair of earrings, don't assume it will automatically fit another pair.
